Tata Tea & Arsenal Endeavour to Birghten the Future of Indian Football


Young aspiring footballers gets the opportunity of their lives to train at Arsenal FC in London. This is made possible owing to Tata Tea Arsenal Soccer Stars (TTASS), a unique talent scouting programme launched by Tata Tea in association with Arsenal FC. TTASS aims to promote football among school children and help talented young soccer players to access the best in terms of infrastructure and training. Tata Tea Arsenal Soccer Stars programme is part of Tata Tea’s enhanced focus on the issues that concern the youth of this country. In its constant endeavour to demonstrate thought leadership, Tata Tea recently launched the ‘Jaago Re’ campaign. Tata Tea Soccer Stars, one of its kind football tournaments for children aged 10 - 15 years, offers participants access to unparalleled training programmes including the customized Arsenal development programme called The Arsenal Way. Starting from 27th January, the tournament will be played in 8 cities divided over four zones (South, West, North & East) with the finals being played at Kolkata in May. Arsenal coaches in Calcutta will train 30 talented boys, identified by Head Scout, Jamshid Nassiri for 2 weeks. Out of these 15 boys will be shortlisted to go to Arsenal FC for further training. They would also participated in the Arsenal International Soccer Festival.
